Hi, im thinking of purchasing a 1998 RR autobiography, could you tell me a bit about these motors,ie. the good and bad points, what to look out for ect, i'd appreciate any advice/help.
If you go onto this link you will be entering the main Range Rover Register website and they will be better equipped to answer your question. Unfortunately I can not think of anyone in our area club that would be able to help. Many thanks for your enquiry. http://www.rrr.co.uk/forums/viewforum.php?f=13
Hi not really a comment more seeking advice. I am keenly awaiting delivery of a shiny new range rover autobiography 5.0 supercharged. I made the mistake last year of trading in my tdv8 vogue foe a Jag XF S. the weather over the past few weeks has really illustrated how big a mistake I made. Anyway I was wonering if you guys can advise me as to weather the new 5.0 supercharged engine can be re-mapped or chipped? and if so is it safe or wise to do so? I am thinking, not so much from the performence perspective, on paper it is already as quick as my Jag, but more the fuel economy. The car will be doing around 20k plus mpa mainly on the motorways
Hi there. After some advice. Looking at 4 ltr and 4-6 ltr V8 range rovers but have heard 4-6 ltr suffer engine problems with cylinder liners. there seem to be far more 4.6ltr cars to choose from. Are they really that bad as you only read the bad bits on forums never the good. also have been told lpg conversion wears the engine out a lot quicker. is this true as i would prefer a petrol v8 with diesel economy. many thanks. Kevin.
